Ring Ring Please ("Ring Ring Please," "we," "us") is a service operated by Lynn Solutions LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ringringplease.com and our SMS notification service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this policy covers
Our service involves three kinds of people:
- Account holders — the business owner or operator who creates an account and sets up a door.
- Staff contacts — the people an account holder adds to receive visitor-alert text messages, who opt in by SMS.
- Visitors — anyone who scans a QR code at a participating business's door. Visitors do not create an account.
Information we collect
- From account holders: mobile phone number (verified by a one-time passcode), an optional email address for billing receipts, an optional business or display name, and subscription/billing records. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- About staff contacts: the name and mobile phone number that an account holder enters when adding a contact, and that contact's consent status (whether they replied YES, STOP, etc.).
- From visitors: any optional text you type into the ring page (for example, your name or purpose, such as "UPS delivery"), and a temporary session identifier stored in a cookie so your page can show live status. Typing is optional and we do not require or collect a visitor's phone number.
- Message data: the content, timestamps, and delivery status of SMS messages sent and received through the service.
- Technical data: limited request logs such as IP address, used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
How we use information
- To deliver visitor-alert notifications to the appropriate staff contact and show the visitor live status.
- To manage SMS consent — sending the one-time opt-in request and honoring STOP, START, and HELP replies.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, including preventing abuse.
- To process subscriptions and billing.
- To respond to support requests and to comply with legal obligations.
SMS / text messaging
Staff contacts added by a business receive a one-time SMS asking them to reply YES to opt in. No visitor alerts are sent to a contact until they opt in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and consent information collected for text messaging are used only to operate the Ring Ring Please service.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including Twilio (SMS delivery), Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting), Cloudflare (hosting and security), and Stripe (payments). Mobile opt-in data shared with these providers is solely to deliver the service and is not used by them for their own marketing.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
- Business transfers, if the service or assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep account and contact information for as long as the account is active and as needed to provide the service. Visitor interaction data is short-lived and is retained only as long as needed to operate and secure the service. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, or on request where applicable.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- SMS opt-out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving alerts; reply HELP for help.
- Access, correction, deletion: contact us at help@ringringplease.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to legal limits.
- Account holders can add, edit, or deactivate the contacts on their account at any time from their dashboard.
Children's privacy
The service is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
